got me one of them fancy es 175's premium reissue whatever it is.
what it IS for sure is a bad mofo of a player. i got a es 335 premium
a few weeks ago, and kind of got hooked on the semi hollows. found
this one on c'list with epiphone hsc for a good price, so i picked it up.

love this tihng. it has the gibson 57 classics in it stock, 500k pots i
think. sounds so good clean it's unreal. anyway. pic !

How does the 175 play? I’ve been tempted by those off and on since the latest variant of the premium was released

it's the first time i've ever played a full big body girl like that, so
your mileage may vary. i freaking love it. big full sound. plugged
in with a little dirt and the tone on seven, it's just awesomeness.
the 57's sound really good clean. put a little chorus and a touch
of reverb, and you can make anything sound good. again, i could
be just impressed because i've only played semi's before this, and
it is a pretty big difference, to my ear, anyway.

i even tuned drop d and was playing a few songs on it. if you have
a chance to pick one up, i'd do it for sure.

Try their Dirty Digits!
I've never been enamored with Dirty Fingers...much too hot for my preferences. The 498t is an unlikely choice for me but it just so happens that I'm really digging one in the G400 I'm building for my nephew. I thinking it couldn't hurt to try it in my LP...I'm thinking the brightness of the 498t would balance a bit better with the p94.

I can get a clean PAF sound out of the Dirty Fingers in my N-225 just by rolling the volume back to 8 or so. I have to say that it is the most versatile pickup I've used in the last 50 years.

Lower output than DFs, but I love me a Burstbucker 2 clean in the bridge, and oh baby the tone when you drive it! A little different than the 57 PAF but not so much as the 4XX series.

+1 on the bad mofo ES-175 premie. I can't say enough about the sound quality.

Thanks! It's not super fancy to look at, but it brings the goods tonally. Here's a newer pic, still waiting on reflector knobs, but those are coming too!
