RIP David Crosby. Too many legends are leaving us lately.

2023, has been devastating , so far .
First Jeff Beck and now David Crosby .....
All the true masters of musicianship and songwriting in Rock are dying off

Think about it , music from 1993 to the present, isn't as good as the music from 1964 to 1994 .
The majority of 1993 to the present doesn't have the longengevity of music from 1964 to 1992 .
Even some of my younger guitar students don't want to learn Dave Mathews, Nirvana, Korn or Hootie and the Blow Fish ..... , they seem to want to learn the Classic Rock from 1964 to 1992.

I'm 47 and didn't really discover the likes of CSN&Y until my mid to late 20's . I like the music I grew up with , but it wouldn't be possible without the likes of Jeff Beck , David Crosby , B.B King etc etc .

Pretty sure the rest of the guys in Hootie didn't want to learn that crap. No love for DMB either, probably because I don't drive an angry jeep and call everyone "bro".
