Oh niiicee you've got it back to the old MKH look!
Yikes! You know me, I usually call 'em like I see them.Ordered a little rack but not exactly feeling it. Nice that it is compact but it doesn't give much space between guitar, I can picture some headstock dingers. Also the foam on the bottom is very grippy, so setting them in place has to be very intentionally done. I will give it a few days and decide if it's a keeper. I really only need it for a year anyhow and won't be putting the nicer ones on it.

I'm leaning that way. I've messed with it a bit, still don't feel happy with it. I might just have to build something myself, at least then I'd have the spacing I'm comfortable with. I have a lot of wood so it won't cost me anything but a few hours time.Send that back. Between the narrow spacing and the pipe insulation...
Sounds good. I've got a String Swing case rack I picked up on Reverb a couple years back.I'm leaning that way. I've messed with it a bit, still don't feel happy with it. No problem. That stuff is basically the soldering version of the Konami code.Getting better with soldering. Thanks @Raiyn for suggesting the Kester 63/37 wire. That did make a significant difference.
Since you seem to be going for some sort of faux '59 vibe I'll save the lecture on the Commie Caps. The ghost of Joe McCarthy would like to have a word however.Wired up the Bourns pots and fancy "blues" pio caps. . .... Tomorrow I'll have some wire in the mail to run the switch, and an "almost 59" gold top will be born.
Good lad. No sense in paying stupid prices for a simple tool. I trust you worked from both sides to have a more even hole?Picked up a reamer at harbor freight for $4 and expanded the volume holes to 3/8".
That Pelham Blue Modern is just killer looking!Great day today!
Today I installed a vintage-style wiring harness with '50s wiring, and a pair of Wolfetone Dr. Vintage pickups in one of my Les Paul Moderns.
The end result pleases me immensely!
My other Les Paul Modern has the same wiring harness, but with a pair of Dimarzio PAF Master pickups:
These Les Paul Moderns are incredibly wonderful modding platforms. (And, they awesome guitars right out of the box, too!)
I like the Hercules GS525B stands. However, I noticed that they have really gone up in price since I ordered mine 3-4 years ago. I paid 70 bucks apiece for my three back then - Now it looks like they are up to $115 apiece...Ordered a little rack but not exactly feeling it.
