well rolled the dice got one anyway -- chunky neck -- but NOT so bad I cant play it---
the thing sounds amazing HOLDS TUNE better than 3 other Gibsons-- and plays great!
Finally sunny
Had 19.9" of rain in May most ever for the month
To be clear that's 19.9 INCHES if rain in a month ...not so far this year.......just in 31 days .... .
I have one--- its awesome...its an Epiphone under the hood pups electrics all Epiphone (says so right on the pups)
it was 188.00 to my door--- kicks ass plays smooth and well and has ZERO issues---
its a gamble -- you pay your dough and you spin the wheel---I WON-- you might you might not.
Ive owned several over the years........ I prefer a thin neck -- so-- TBTH you might like some of the Gibson lines SGJ has a chunky neck and you can score them used --- and the SGM new right now at Sam Ash for 449.00 ---not far from NEW Epi G400 prices.
IMHO the G400 is the TOP of the Epiphone...
FYIE both pups are very versatile and do cleans suprisingly well.....just roll of the volume a bit---
the position and palcement of the neck pup gives it a more "'stratish" woman tone upper fret access is ---well un encumbered......its a damn fine little "git"
NICE.
thanks guys....yes its awesome -- and thank you Raiyn the super special input jack you dropped on me was PERFECT when the 40+ year old input jack crapped the bed early this a.m.
Now with fresh cleaned pots and 3 way switch and a spanking new jack.....this little beastie will ROCK on...
Found this odd bird locally for 2 bills....needs some TLC but wow --- what craftsmanship.
72 Et-290 -- they ran 220.00 NEW in 72 pricey for that time.....this was the "Deluxe" model.
--somewhere in time a carvin neck pup and dimarzzio bridge where added (probably in the late 80s....Hari Bands ya...
I have to say------ this is my dream guitar.
