Welcome to the forum.

I am not an expert on Explorer models so take this as you will. I don't see anything that stands out to me as being a fake and the SN# checks out as being built in Qing Dao in Sept. of 2008.

Others should chime in soon with their own opinion.

Hmmm ... tailpiece stud heads seem domed (ask for better photo) and suspiciously strange serial fonts.

This is what the serial should look like.

Serial number decoder shows made in QingDao 2008. All my Epis were made in that plant.

those pictures all kinda suck. sorry, but it's really hard to tell anything from them. The pickups don't look correct, but are easy to swap. the pic of the headstock is really strange.

IF it's an accurate pic ... then the shape is way off. But again, the pics kinda suck.

Makes me wonder if the seller is trying to hide what's actually there???

That is what fakers do, fake/copy things, like using a serial number borrowed from a real Epiphone.

Domed tail piece studs.

If you want to convince yourself it's legit, go ahead.

I get a sense of fake/ scam from this. I wouldn’t pay 350 for a possible fake. You can get much better stuff at that price point.

ho

well how much do you think something like this is worth?
Depends on how everything works on it.
- good working truss rod
- good sounding pups
- good frets on a straight untwisted neck
- good functioning bridge

$100-$150 at the most and if you sell it you have to promise to openly declare it as a fake.
