^^^ Now I know that is incorrect ^^^

Top Hats have straight sleeves & Bells have curved sleeves.

But on the other hand, who really gives a $#!^

I can’t help it if they can’t tell a straight line from a curved line.

But, again, on the other hand, who really gives a $#!^ :io:

I first realized that when I saw "how many " Stratocaster models there are. But they all look identical to me. Telecaster, there's more than 1 model ? Nahhh ... Carved top Les Paul ? They all look pretty much the same to me.

Then there are, tuners, bridges, tailpieces, pointers, tremolos, pickguards, etc, etc.

Oh, I dig the detail @BGood, & this is certainly not directed at you Jean, but I just can’t cop the incredibly petty point scoring by one or two that has seen a very good & truly knowledgeable mate of mine decide not to be around here any more

I think you've got me wrong here, it's not a matter of point scoring, I have yet to find a vendor that differentiates a bell from a hat because of a wee curve. Hell, it's not even something I'd even take notice of as anything more than a variation of a basic design.

Honestly, I haven't found one with a curve either.

Not saying they don't exist, but that's way too corksniffer for me to care about. "It was only on the 19XX -19YY Bleh model....."

I'd rip the things off and put whatever I like on the thing. Be it notched speed knobs or aluminum knobs from an amp supply house.
Fender too

Dome feels better, but that's only a preference.

Hmm, I guess I can see the difference. The part where the numbers are is straight vs. curved.

My beef is with the horrid amber color, lol.

Ok, I guess there are some colors of guitar they sort of go with, but some are just outright mismatched with the color scheme.

I mean come on...

I agree completely, some of the bursts come to mind.

On Epi / Gibby style axes I prefer the notched speed knobs.

I think they'd look pretty decent on that blue LP too.

Yeah I prefer the speed knobs too. Never saw the notched ones, or maybe I just never really noticed, but they're pretty cool too.
