    Show your Epiphones

I like those Winos - a LOT. Other than the mis-matched pickups. If I were to buy a Wino, I would have to change the neck pickup to cover-less to match the bridge pickup. Other than that... I think it's a WINNER! Epiphone is producing exceptionally nice guitars at their high end, these days...

    NGD !

My choice for knobs on that would be something like faded gold top hats or gold speed knobs. Those would blend pretty well with the color to the top around the knobs. Or, black to coordinate with the pickup trim rings and the ebony fretboard. All that really matters is... what do YOU LIKE?

Congrats.... truly, the new Epi LP Moderns are so well made... they totally run up against Gibsons in all significant respects, but the expensive, legendary name. The two 2022 Epiphone Les Paul Moderns that I have (in Pelham Blue and Sparkling Burgundy) are every bit as wonderful to play as my...

Can Epi Les Pauls accept "long leg" Gibson hum buckers?

Gibson Les Paul humbuckers have traditionally had long leg bases. My pair of Gibson Burstbuckers from a 2012 Gibson Les Paul Standard have long leg bases. These days, I think the "standard" style of humbuckers come with short-leg bases. I think Epiphone Les Paul humbuckers typically come with...

Can Epi Les Pauls accept "long leg" Gibson hum buckers?

I have a set of Gibson Burstbucker Pros which have long mounting legs... wondering if the cavity in current Epiphone Les Pauls is deep enough to accept (Gibson) humbuckers with long legs?

What did you do to your Epiphone today?

Recent mods... to my Pelham Modern. Dimarzio PAF Masters, Switchcraft switch and Jack, CTS pots and '50s wiring. And... switched plastics on my Burgundy Modern to creme.

    Epiphone Les Paul Custom…Opinions?

Good call on going with the KOA. What a great look. And the latest Customs and moderns are just great guitars. You will love it.

Gibson has fully transformed my view of their Epiphone guitars!

Yep. They are so tempting because they're so good and don't cost an arm and a leg. I'm thrilled with my two Les Paul Moderns - set up with different gauge strings and different pickups/electronics. Funny thing, with my Burgundy Modern model, I was planning to swap out pickups, but the more I...

Gibson has fully transformed my view of their Epiphone guitars!

For those who don't want nor need to spend really big bucks for Gibson models, Epiphone (these days) fully satisfies! The playability, tones, fit, finish, and looks are impressive!. I've had numerous Gibson Les Pauls, an ES-339, SG Standard, and LGO acoustic and must say that coming from that...

    Pair of Moderns!

Nice thing is... you don't have to! :)

Gibson has fully transformed my view of their Epiphone guitars!

I'm a player, but I also love to customize, mod, and tweak, and I enjoy having a variety of guitars. Thus, I really appreciate the mid-priced guitars - since they have proven to be excellent quality musical instruments and are not particular costly. I would not be inclined to do much...

    Pair of Moderns!

Gibson came out with their Les Paul Deluxe '70s model in wine red with cream plastics, so I got the sense that perhaps cream plastics were somewhat common in the '70s. In any event, I was inspired by the look of the LP Deluxe '70s to go with cream plastics on my Modern. I prefer the more "old...

    Pair of Moderns!

My biggest gripe with the Gibson Les Pauls I have owned over the years has been the weight and not balancing well on the lap while playing sitting. Thus, the Les Paul Modern, with modern weight relief has come with great appeal to me. To my ears, tone is just as great as bodies without...

Gibson has fully transformed my view of their Epiphone guitars!

I"m with ya on that, Richey. Gotta have poker chips on Les Pauls, and SGs.

    Pair of Moderns!

After buying a Pelham Blue Epi LP Modern, which I modded to Dimarzio PAF Masters, including CTS electronics and Switchcraft jack/switch.... I love the guitar so much that I decided to get one in Burgundy (my favorite guitar color). What I love about the Les Paul Modern is: -Ebony fretboard...

Gibson has fully transformed my view of their Epiphone guitars!

The bias toward Gibson and against Epiphone is a long standing one for many long-time players. It definitely takes some getting over. But really, just given some time actually PLAYING Epiphones... especially the recent production models, it becomes quite obvious that these are well-made...

Gibson has fully transformed my view of their Epiphone guitars!

I had a bias against Epiphones (vs. Gibsons) for many, many years. A few years back, however, I discovered that the Epi ES-339 Pro was actually an excellent instrument, good enough that I felt quite pleased to have my first Epiphone. A couple of years after that first ES-339, I bought another...

    Epiphone ES Les Paul Pro

Congrats, man! You may not realize it, but you did DANG WELL finding that as your first guitar. Think twice if you ever considering selling it, because you may not find another again! The ES-Les-Paul and the ES-339 Pro are, arguably, among the best guitars Epiphone has produced.

    Epiphone ES Les Paul Pro

Pudge... you were fortunate to stumble upon that ES-Les Paul. Congrats to you - they're awesome guitars and have become quite scarce. Where did you find yours?

    Epiphone ES Les Paul Pro

Unfortunately, it seems that Epiphone has discontinued making the ES-Les Paul, after making them from about 2008 to 2019. They are few and far between in the marketplace. If you have one and you like it - better hold on to it dearly. Gibson only made the ES-Les Paul from 2014-2016. My Es-Les...
